Primary Responsibilities: The human resource (HR) manager is responsible for designing, planning, and implementing human-resources programs at the Oakdale, Louisiana, OSB facility. Specifically, this position involves the following activities: administering corporate and plant policies relating to safety, hiring, onboarding, compensation, benefits, training and development, performance management, and employee/community communication; using leading practices and objectives that meet organizational goals in a high-performance culture that emphasizes safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement; providing support to management and employees at the 24/7 operation; and serving as an agent of the company at public-relations events. Occasional travel is required to support other facilities within the organization, as well as facilitating functions outside of normal business hours.
Job Qualifications: Required skills, experience, and education includes a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5+ years of HR experience, demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, and computer proficiency. The ideal candidate will possess HR certification (SHRM or HRCI) and experience supporting a manufacturing team.
