Primary Responsibilities: The responsibility of the scaler security is to maintain records of visitors, contractors, working employees, and off-duty employees and enforce company policies and procedures. Specific duties include maintaining a safe working environment, weighing incoming and outgoing trucks, maintaining insurance logs of vendors, performing quality wood audits and safety audits, and interacting cordially with visitors, vendors, and contractors.
Job Qualifications: Candidates must possess a high-school diploma or equivalent and the ability to perform at that level. Basic computer skills are required. He/she must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Behavioral Profile: The successful candidate will have outstanding safety and attendance records. Further, he/she will be self-motivated, committed to learning, thorough, and detail-oriented. The candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively with visitors, truck drivers, and mill personnel. He/she must possess the ability to multitask with little or no supervision in a fast-paced environment.
