In September, the American Loggers Council held its annual meeting in Lafayette, La., bringing together loggers and forest industry professionals from across the United States and Canada. RoyOMartin supported the event by providing lunch for attendees and a tour of our Oakdale OSB manufacturing facility. Company Chairman and CEO Roy O. Martin III addressed the group, offering an overview of our company and our role in supporting the future of the forest industry.
“You are the lifeblood of the forest products industry,” Martin stated. “It is critical to have a logging force that is so strong like you are.”
The American Loggers Council is a national organization focused on representing the rights and interests of independent loggers and log truck contractors. Their mission is to enhance the logging profession by providing a unified voice on key issues, supporting sustainable forestry practices, and advocating for favorable national legislation. The Council cooperates with public, private, and industrial timberland owners to ensure the success and sustainability of the industry.
