Scott Poole is the President and Chief Operating Officer for Martin Sustainable Resources L.L.C. Scott joined the Martin Companies in December 1986, as a forestry team member and has since held a wide variety of roles encompassing forestry, land and timber, manufacturing, and sales. In 2003, Scott became the highest-ranking non-family member in RoyOMartin’s history.
Scott graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry from Louisiana Tech University and later earned his MBA from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
Scott serves on the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI) board. He is a past board member of the Louisiana Forestry Association, past Chairman of the Louisiana Forestry Commission, and the Louisiana Forest Products Society. He is also past Chair of the Central Louisiana Manufacturers Council and current Advisory Board Member for Louisiana Tech University School of Forestry. Scott was named a Tech Triumph and was a guest lecturer in the Lloyd Blackwell Lecture Series at Louisiana Tech University. Scott and his wife, Heather, have four children, and they reside in Pineville, Louisiana.
