Corrigan, Tx. – (November 30, 2018) – The Texas Workforce Commission recognized Corrigan OSB, L.L.C. as the 2018 Small Business of the Year for Deep East Texas at their annual conference in Houston on November 29, 2018. A main criterion for winning this award was for the business to consistently utilize the workforce commission for hiring and staffing needs.
“We partnered with WorkForce Solutions Deep East Texas starting in 2015 to hire the 165 team members needed to operate and maintain our new oriented strand board (OSB) facility in Corrigan,” explained Terry Secrest, vice president of OSB and corporate safety director. “They have been instrumental in delivering the quality candidates needed for our world-class OSB facility.”
Secrest was on-hand to accept the award with Human Resources Manager Sherry Hughes. Corrigan OSB, L.L.C. officially opened in early 2018 and produces OSB, a wood product used in residential and commercial construction, furniture, and other applications.
