Corrigan, TX (March 21, 2024) – Representatives from Corrigan OSB, L.L.C., RoyOMartin’s Texas subsidiary, attended the ceremony officially naming the City of Corrigan as the Timber Products Capital of Texas. RoyOMartin is one of the two primary timber companies in the region.
Josh Oliver, the plant manager for Corrigan OSB, L.L.C., pointed out the benefit of the timber industry, specifically for the Corrigan area.
“We [RoyOMartin] have been in business for over 100 years,” Oliver said. “It’s an amazing time to be in the wood products industry. We appreciate everyone welcoming us to the area.”
For more than 200 years, the city of Corrigan has been recognized for its rich and diverse timber industry. From the lush southern yellow pine forests and timber harvesters to log truck drivers and wood-manufacturing facilities, Corrigan’s economy has been and continues to be driven by the forest products industry.
Corrigan OSB, L.L.C. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of RoyOMartin, that began operations in Deep East Texas in 2018. The oriented strand board (OSB) manufacturing plant is undergoing a significant expansion that will dramatically impact the local Texas economy and help to meet the demand for high-quality, sustainable wood products.
