May 2024 — Last September, RoyOMartin kicked off another GirlsCanToo! mentoring program at Arthur F. Smith Middle Magnet School and Peabody Magnet High School, both in Alexandria. The program is a partnership between RoyOMartin and local schools to affirm, inform, and inspire young ladies about their limitless potential. Throughout the 2023-2024 school year, these schools successfully incorporated Girls Can Too! into their JAG (Jobs for America’s Graduates) classrooms. The students discussed topics like teamwork, self-esteem, the effects of social media, career exploration, and women in manufacturing.
Recently, the students who participated were honored with an end-of-the-year celebration. We are proud of these students and excited to see what the future holds for them!
