Alexandria, La. – (September 15, 2020) – The Southern Public Relations Federation (SPRF) has honored RoyOMartin with a Lantern Award – Award of Merit in the category of “Long-Term Strategic Programs (7 Months or Longer): Integrated Communications.” The award recognizes communications programming supporting RoyOMartin’s “I Believe” employee-recruiting and engagement program, which involved a multi-channel promotional approach that included digital and print components.
I Believe communications were recognized at the virtual SPRF Annual Conference “as among the best in the Gulf South at the 2020 Lantern Awards,” according to SPRF. Amanda Guillot, multimedia specialist; Dirk Margheim, media production specialist; and Leigh Ann Purvis, corporate communications manager, make up the RoyOMartin Communications Department and are led by Vice President of Human Resources Donna Bailey, who conceived I Believe.
This is the team’s first attempt at earning a regional award from SPRF, which covers Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, and parts of Florida. To be considered for an award, entries must follow the four-step, technical public-relations process known as RPIE: research, planning, implementation, and evaluation. According to the Public Relations Society of America, RPIE “informs a public relations plan with qualitative and quantitative data and lifts the public relations function from tactical to strategic,” transforming “public relations measurement from output-based to outcomes-focused.” Award entries are evaluated on their own merit by an independent panel of public-relations professionals.
Earlier this year, the RoyOMartin Communications Department won four awards from the Public Relations Association of Louisiana – Central Chapter, including “Best of Show, Campaigns & Strategic Programs: Lagniappe” for I Believe.
